DANISH BEER CARRIED OFF DOUBLE GOLD
Nov. 21, 2008 | Topic: Other industriesThe Danish Ørbæk Brewery received two gold medals last week at the beer breweries’ European Beer Star Award in Nuremberg.
Double gold was awarded to a Danish beer brewery when the world’s best beers were selected last week at this year’s European Beer Star Award in the German city of Nuremberg, writes Danish beer enthusiasts on the web site ale.dk.
Ørbæk Bryggeri won gold medals with their beers “Fynsk Forår” and “Dark Horse”. Director for Ørbæk Bryggeri Niels Römer is especially pleased with the medal for the dark beer. This is actually one of Germany’s own beer types which the Danish people beat on home ground. Moreover, the brewery is in the process of being established on the German market.
European Beer Star Award is tasting beer in 42 categories and this year a new record of 688 different beers from 32 nations were registered.
